Hockey Academy Schedule 

Bentley School is excited to announce that we have received approval through AHS and the Town of Bentley to resume our Hockey Academy program. The program will be led by Mr. Lane Moore along with a select group of HS student/staff helpers. Students will remain in their designated cohorts for a total of nine, minimum 1 hour sessions from Feb 9 - March 25. Full hockey equipment is required. The program will run Tuesday - Thursday on our Day 1/Day 2 timetable so some weeks students will be on the ice two days per week and other weeks 1 day per week.

For those younger students they will be responsible for putting on their own equipment and should practice with parents beforehand to make sure they can do this on their own.  Helpers will be available to help tie skates.  We have booked some class sign up skating times over the next two months that will be part of their physical education allocation.  There is no cost for class skates and will provide opportunities for those younger students to participate if they can’t put on their own equipment.

Equipment Drop Off/Pick Up:

Equipment drop off will be between 8:00 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. on their schedule day. Students must carry their own equipment into the arena and place it in the designated area. No parents are allowed to enter the building at any time, no exceptions. Equipment must be picked up the same day between 3:15 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. Bags can not be stored at the arena due to COVID protocols.  If you can not pick up your equipment at that time please contact the arena staff to coordinate another time.

Arena Protocols:

  • All students and staff in Gr. 4 & up must be wearing a mask inside the arena (until they have reached their designated dressing room)
  • All students must sanitize their hands when entering and exiting the arena
  • Max 8 students per dressing room
  • No parents or spectators inside the facility at any time. Failure to follow these rules will result in your child being unable to participate in the program. 
  • Dressing rooms will be cleaned by Arena staff in between each scheduled cohort
  • All instructors and HS student/staff helpers will be wearing masks
