Bentley Student Code of Conduct

1.Must be diligent in completing and maintaining a passing grade in academic courses.

2.Attend school regularly and punctually. If you are away from school on game day, the athlete is not able to play unless it is a good reason why the athlete is absent.Eg. dental appt

3.Cooperate fully with everyone authorized by the board to provide education programs and other services. If you are serving a suspension you may not play that day.

4.Comply with all school rules.

5.Be accountable for your own behavior and conduct in school. 

6.Respect the rights of others. Bullying at school or on teams will not be tolerated.

Bentley Panther/Athletic Code of Conduct

1.Disrespectful attitudes by players towards students, teachers or administrators will not be tolerated and may result in suspension or removal from the Bentley Panther athletics program.

2.Use of abusive language and or actions, including hazing, or bullying are prohibited and may result in removal from the athletic program.

3.In order to be eligible to play a sport at Bentley School, all athletes must be enrolled at Bentley School during the season of play.

4.All athletes are encouraged to promote an atmosphere of sportsmanship and respect towards teachers, school officials, parents, game officials, opposing players, opposing coaches and fans.

5.If an athlete is not able to attend a practice or game, this needs to be communicated to the coach.

6.In accordance with Bentley Code of Ethics, use of tobacco, alcohol or drugs by players, coaches or officials during any school sponsored event will result in the suspension of student athletes from school and subsequently resulting in suspension from play during the school suspension. Further disciplinary action will be dealt with individually by the coach in concert with the athletic director and or school administrator.

Parent Code of Conduct

Attendance during the season of play entitles parents to enjoy an exhibition of skills developed by athletes in an educational setting.

Please be respectful and encouraging in your approach to ALL athletes, officials, coaches and fellow parents and spectators. 

How to be a Great Sport Parent

1. Don't shout or yell criticisms at players

2. Remain in the spectator area

3. Do not interfere with the coach

4. Keep your composure

5. Control your emotions

6. Let the referee do their job

7. Do not instruct players in games

8. Do not argue with opposing parents or players

9. Be a good role model
