Playground Update

The Joslyn Snow Memorial Project committee has officially hit their target of $525,000 and the playground/sport court are open to the community!!!  The work is far from done, though, as our committee is in the process of recognizing our many sponsors/donors with advertising, signage and planning our grand opening ceremonies.  We are also looking to add some benches, picnic tables and garbage cans to help make those areas even more user-friendly.

Josyln was an exceptional educational assistant, at Bentley School, who passed away suddenly from a brain tumor, at the age of 27. One of Joslyn’s last wishes was to do something great for her community and the kids she adored. In just over two years, the committee was able to see Joslyn Snow’s vision for a new playground come to life within the Bentley community.

The committee wishes to thank the community of Bentley and surrounding areas for their amazing support of this project. “To the artists and makers who donated to the Art Gala, the families who attended the Old Fashioned Carnival, participated in the You Got Flushed fundraiser and those who bought tickets to the evening with Dr. Jody Carrington, to name just a few of the many fundraising initiatives, for this project.  To all our major sponsors and everyone else who made donations of money, equipment, facilities and labor, over the past two years, in Joslyn’s memory….

Thank You, Thank you, Thank you!!”

“Thank you just doesn’t seem enough to express the gratitude we feel to everyone who supported this project,” says Lane Moore, Chair of the Committee

While the playground and sport court is already set-up and functioning, an official grand opening is scheduled for May 1, 2020. Be sure to save the date!  “It’s a very fitting date considering it's Jos’ birthday and we couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate this special young lady and this legacy project,” adds Lane Moore.

Over the next couple of weeks, please check your local newspapers as we will be, officially, thanking all of our sponsors and donors. The committee requests that all supporters of this project verify their sponsorship name and support level as we prepare to get the official signage in place, over the next few months. Please contact Bentley School directly, at 403-748-3770, with any changes or omissions. For a complete list of sponsors and donors, visit our website at:
