Posted on May 18th, 2020
Last Day of Classes
The last day of at home learning classes will be Friday, June 19th, 2020. Further information from your teacher will be provided as to collection of work, assignments and/or assessments.
Year End Assessment & Final Reporting
We will not be printing and/or mailing final report cards home. All students and parents will continue to access students' marks by logging into your online accounts. High school students and parents can access marks through PowerSchool Parent Portal via the school website or by downloading the PowerSchool App. Elementary and Junior High students and parents are able to access their final report card by logging into their Freshgrade accounts. All marks and comments will be finalized by Thurs, June 25, 2020.
Returning Library Books & Textbooks
We will require all classroom textbooks to be returned to the school during the week of June 22-25, 2020 from 8:00 am to 7:00 pm. There will be a blue bin outside the elementary and high school front doors that items can be returned in. Please write the student's name and grade inside the front cover of the textbook that is being returned. This way staff can track returned textbooks and make contact with students/parents that have yet to return resources.
Library books can be returned in the blue bin outside the elementary and high school front doors anytime between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday - Friday. Extended drop off hours will be available the week of June 22 - 25 from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Watch for an email from Mrs. McDiarmid to families who still have library books at home. All library books are electronically scanned and tagged to students when they are signed out, please do not write names or grade inside library books. All items not returned by the end of the school year may be subject to a lost book or replacement fee.
Families that received an Acer C-720 Chromebook device that were part of the district roll-out of support devices this spring are NOT TO BE RETURNED to the school. These devices are to be kept by the family. These specific Acer C-720 Chromebook devices should not be returned as they are considered end-of-life models and will not be supported by Technology Services moving into the new 2020-2021 school year.
Should the C-720 devices continue to work for students/families at home, they can continue to be utilized. However, due to their end-of-life cycle with their operating systems, they were scheduled to be recycled.
Collection of Student items at school
If you were unable to pick up your students belongings in the first round of collection, please contact the school prior to June 26, 2020 to make arrangements to do so. Any left over items, as in previous years, will be donated, recycled or disposed of in an appropriate manner.
If you have any other questions please feel free to reach out to your teacher or the office. This information is also attached as a PDF
